Background

The Tim Fairfax Family Foundation (TFFF) can only support entities endorsed by the Australian Tax Office as charitable Item 1 Deductible Gift Recipients (DGRs).

Process

Applications to TFFF are by invitation only and are considered at quarterly Trustees meetings.  The process is as follows:

  1. Confirm your organisation is eligible by checking your ABN here.
  2. Complete and Submit this Funding Enquiry.
  3. Each Funding Enquiry is assessed by TFFF staff for eligibility and alignment.  Review the TFFF Guidelines for further information.
  4. Eligible Funding Enquiries will be invited to submit a full application.  Further details will be provided upon invitation.

Amount of Funding

The TFFF no longer provides funding for requests totalling less than $50,000. TFFF does support applications for funding over multiple years where relevant and appropriate.

Sydney-based Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation (VFFF) now considers support for organisations working in New South Wales or Queensland for between $20,000 and $50,000.
 
Organisations seeking support of up to $50,000 within the TFFF Community or Education themes are encouraged to consider their potential alignment with the VFFF Thriving People and Places funding area.
